Deep convolutional neural networks are widely used in Science and Engineering, but their training requires substantial human effort in data annotation and adaptation. This project aims to enhance user control and comprehension of network design, making them more efficient and reducing annotation work. The approach involves training networks with minimal data annotation and constructing networks layer by layer with expert guidance. Collaboratively, Prof. Alexandre Falcão will visit Prof. Laurent Najman at Université Gustave Eiffel for a three-year research project, including student co-advisement and Deep Learning courses. The proposed course covers various aspects of deep learning, adaptable to student needs, aiming to engage students in the project and provide strong foundational knowledge.
