January 2023- Professor Andreas Holmsen was hosted by Frédéric Meunier (CERMICS/ Ecole des Ponts ParisTech) for one month to collaborate with him on a joint scientific research.
Andreas Holmsen is an expert in combinatorics and discrete geometry. The scientific project, which meets interests of people from Cermics and LIGM, mixes questions and objects from discrete geometry, algorithms, and random discrete structures. Topics like “random sorting networks” and extensions to oriented matroids of classical partitioning results from discrete geometry will be investigated.
