March 2016 : Antonio Restivo was invited by Marie-Pierre Beal and Dominique Perrin of LIGM at Université Paris-Est Marne la Vallée for one month (March 2016). He has worked at several topics in combinatorics on words, which lead in particular to a chapter (Enumerative Combinatorics on Words) of the CRC Handbook […]
May 2016 : Xavier Mestre is a senior researcher at Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (Barcelona). He is an expert of applications of large random matrices to high-dimensional signal processing. During his stay, he will collaborate with P. Loubaton and J. Najim (LIGM) on large dimensional detection problems.
April 2016 : Sergey Bobkov’s research interests are at the frontier between probability theory, analysis, convex geometry and discrete mathematics. He made in particular important contributions to the study of isoperimetric inequalities for log-concave distributions, as well as in the study of various functional inequalities related to the concentration of measure phenomenon.
