Title. Helly type problems and combinatorial convexity
Abstract. Helly’s theorem on the intersection of convex sets is a basic and important result in discrete geometry with numerous applications and generalizations. In this talk I will discuss some of the major research directions that were motivated by Helly’s theorem, and report on some recent developments in the theory of abstract convexity spaces and the connection with chi-boundedness and graph colorings.
