Visit of Professor Aristoff

June 2018: David Aristoff is visiting for a month.  He is assistant professor at the department of mathematics of the Colorado State University. He develops numerical methods for high dimensional Monte Carlo simulations and analyzes them from a mathematical viewpoint. The scientific project for his stay concentrates on the study of piecewise deterministic Markov processes and their use in molecular simulation and other application fields such as large scale Bayesian inference.
